Tennis Esports revolutionizes the way to play and learn tennis
Learn perfect tennis technique
Main goal of the Tennis Esports “techzone” is to help people learn to play tennis faster and cheaper as complementary tool along with training on court with an instructor. It will help to get up to speed learning basic movements and improve/perfect them with real-time computer assistance. The training is embedded in an entertaining and competitive game. The “techzone” combines the playful fun of VR technology and effective tennis training sessions
Real-time motion learning feedback
You can start with the basics and make progress using our VR Motion Learning methodology. It involves real-time motion tracking and allows real-time feedback comparing your movements with movements of good tennis players as well as your own previous exercises.
Track your learning progress
As a registered client, you have access to all training statistics. Your learning progress will be monitored and made available on a dashboard: Number of strokes and motions, speed and level of motion learning, precision and consistency of your movements and much more. You can use it for yourself or share among your coach or any chosen community or social network.
Learn all major tennis strokes
You start with warm-up exercises and continue with major tennis movements like forehand, backhand, service and so on. VR Tennis Trainer serves always with the right trajectory to train particular movements. The system analyses in real time your performance. As your individual tennis skills progress, you will be able to play point, game, set and finally the whole match. Apply your newly learned skills in your regular tennis sessions on a real court and surprise your coach and co-players. The “techzone” is not a replacement for real tennis or regular fitness exercise.
Motion learning methodology
Core know-how of our platform is the motion learning methodology, i.e. set of technologies, tools, devices and software with proved learning paths. It guarantees fast and effective motion learning training. The methodology is based on the experience of professional trainers and sport biomechanics experts.
Virtual reality and haptics
Real-time motion tracking technologies, VR immersive environment and haptics devices are used to significantly improve the effect of immersion and motion learning. The platform immerses you into the world of virtual tennis where you can play as if you are on a real court. You will play with a real racket and feel the effect of ball hits even though the ball is a virtual one. You can move freely as if on real court.
Learn to play tennis from home
Tennis Esports has several setup options which are suitable either for large locations (e.g. 10x12 m half-court size for a sport center location or tennis court) or for small spots (e.g. 5x5 m for home use or for small training center). It may be utilized either by business partners or by private individuals.
All training sessions are online and available anywhere, anytime
You can train and play from anywhere and at anytime. All you need is a Meta Quest 2 or Meta Quest 3 headset and WiFi.
Our Vision of VR Tennis
We want to create a hype, a new enthusiasm for tennis and motivate your players of all age to return to the court more often. We want to bring kids from electronic games onto real court. We want to help you to improve the tennis technique of your students, so that they have more fun on court. We want to add a new dimension to tennis.
Our approach is to utilize new technologies such as virtual reality, motion learning and real time tracking in order to create a new category of digital training & E-sports. We focus on motion learning, the real key of being able to play tennis well. In future, you will be able to learn, practice and play in virtual reality, as realistic and authentic as on the tennis court. There are virtual tournaments and Esport events & conventions bringing a whole new audience of folks and kids playing tennis.
How does Tennis Esports Techzone work?
The player’s biomechanical data are processed while the system calculates the optimal pattern of movements. The user puts on the VR goggles, takes and starts playing tennis – on a virtual court, with virtual balls, instructed by a virtual coach and against virtual opponents.
All body movements are accurately recorded and analyzed. Any deviations of the relevant parameters, like body position, legwork, arm position, stroke etc., are visualized on a “virtual dashboard” and via a real-time and replay “shadow”. At first, the player starts the training in slow motion, secondly progresses step by step in fast modus improving the strokes and body movements in order to learn perfect ones.
Training in the Virtual Reality environment optimizes the body position, the motion, the way the player hits the ball, the game tactics and much more. The software gives instant feedback on how to improve on every important variable and hence it quickly leads to a perfect technique. For example, the user can master to place a ball on an exact spot with a defined speed and spin. The user can practice this again and again until she or he knows how to do it.
This training is embedded in an entertaining and competitive game; any progress rewards points and the player may move up from level to level. In future, the system will provide the opportunity to engage in virtual tennis matches with family and friends. Moreover, players can even play with their tennis idols.
In addition, tactical play can be practiced, as a player can use the pattern of the future opponent and find their weaknesses while playing a virtual game against them. With a perfect technique according to the individual biomechanical data, it is possible to prevent some injuries, for example the dreaded tennis elbow. Statistically every third player might experience this due to wrong postures for a swing.
